Coral Pink Sand Dunes ArchHiking at and near the Coral Pink Sand Dunes

A .5 mile trail is located in the main day use area, near the park entrance. Small wooden signs describe vegetation along the trail. If a longer walk through the sand is what you are looking for, try the 5.5 mile trail. This trail also begins at the day use area and continues around the edge of the dunes.

The South Fork Indian Canyon Petroglyphs Trailhead is four miles northeast of the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. There are Tour Guides that take groups to this area or you can attempt the 4WD trail and find the petroglyphs on your own. Two unnamed canyons can be found at the Southfork of Indian Canyon and a host of vegetation and wildlife.
